Why Won’t My Belly Go Away

Someone who does an hours worth of crunches daily might be surprised that their midsection keeps growing. Despite all of their efforts, it never seems to do what they want it to do.

It is nothing new for someone to be disgusted with the bulge around their middle. There is something that can be done to make it better.

Exercise experts agree that most people, when it comes to losing belly fat, do the wrong thing because they saw an infomercial touting the greatest six pack ab exercise program as the only way they can shrink their waist size and it can be done in just minutes a day. They are convinced that they will develop their body in some way. That is accurate. They are building belly muscles.

Their midsection will not shrink despite all of the effort. Despite their work it is the wrong way to do that. Not everything about these exercises is bad. The red faced work he’s putting in will benefit his circulation a tad.

The physical activity will help keep a person more alert. Exercising your midsection is also very good at forming a solid middle to show off at parties.

But he’ll be nowhere near getting rid of the belly. Why? The bulge in your waistline does not come from the muscle that you have there, instead it is a result of flab that has been added and these workouts don’t target the flab. And as everybody knows, you can train muscle, but you can’t train fat.

There are a million websites out there that give people helpful, factual information about the differences between lean muscle tissue and bodily fat, and yet every day, thousands of people continue to sit up and crunch up or whatever, in the erroneous belief that these exercises will somehow work off that belly flab and help them to lose weight fast. The bottom line is that despite all the effort, it does not work.

Not everyone takes this to heart and are still convinced they are doing the right thing.

The plain and unadorned fact, and this is backed up by many people who post to message boards like the biggest loser weight loss forum, is that to lose body fat and to lose it steadily, efficiently, and effectively you need to do some kind of full-body workout like explosive exercises that are performed in a circuit, or interval training, or high intensity interval training, or effective aerobic work like sprints or rope jumping.

Many people will do their ab work. After that they have a walk around the block. They plod along at a snail’s pace. Instead they should sprint for 30 seconds or so.

After a short sprint, they can resume their walking. Do this for the entire time that you are out for your stroll. That type of exercise routine will help a person lose their belly. Instead of doing all of those sit ups, it is possible to get results by using this technique.

There is no one part of the body that you should not try to get rid of the fat from. By doing the right types of exercise that are good at lowering the fat in your body, all parts of your body benefit not just your midsection. Don’t worry about only one body part.

By paying attention to your whole body, you will see your waistline shrink too. It is better to not concentrate on one specific plan, but to do a little of everything. A workout that gets your heart pumping will help you get the results that you want.

Not everybody is the same, of course. There are those who have gotten the body shape they want by doing a certain type of exercise that they follow religiously. The important part is to make the right choices about how to treat you body if you want to see your gut disappear.

There is one final to remember. It is more important to be happy with the way that you look than it is to be what other people look at as right. It is not the way that you look that makes you who you are. We have many other things that should concern us instead.
