Before being classified as a disease it was thought to be a defect in character. The end result was treatment that was not appropriate or effective. Each depression phase has it’s own negative results. Therefore treatment requires early detection.

When it has become severe depression treatment is needed ASAP. At this stage suicide is often the result. The opportunities for help have passed because the cries for help haven’t been heard. Medications and therapy combine for a working treatment. Support groups can also help. There are also natural herbs you can use to treat the disease.
